Josie The Rottweiler

The powerful and loyal Rottweiler  is an AKC-recognized working breed first recognized by the club in 1931. A hard-working and intelligent dog breed, the Rottweiler poppies is a top-tier police, service, or guard dog.The history of the Rottweiler puppies dates back as far as the Roman Empire, where the durable canine’s likely ancestors were used as Cattle Drovers to assist in keeping herds under control and guarding them against predators.

The Rottweiler puppies also served heavily in WWI as a police and security dog. Over the years, the dog breed has enjoyed varied popularity, even reaching the top of the AKC’s Most Registered Dog Breed list in the mid-1990s.Life expectancy8 – 10 yearsOriginGermany

TemperamentThe temperament of the Rottweiler is largely based on its owner, and its owner’s willingness to properly socialize the dog as a puppy.
A normally calm and rather aloof dog breed, the Rottweiler  can be as sweet-natured as it is protective. Because of its powerful physical abilities, a Rottweiler can carry an incredible presence as a watchdog and is as equally alert as any breed. The key to a well-balanced and friendly Rottweiler is showing proper respect to the nature of this working breed, building a relationship based on love and trust, and never using fear as a training tool.
WeightFemale: A rottweiler usually stand between 23 and 28 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs between 75 to 130 pounds

While the name of this breed is the French Bulldog, the idea and reason for the creation of it originated in England. This adorable dog breed, which has always been meant to be a companion, started as a miniature version of the English bulldog that accompanied lace workers across the English Channel to France during the Industrial Revolution.

Once the dog breed became prominent in France, the subsequent successful crossbreeding of the English Bulldog, the Pug, and the Terrier led to the creation of the modern-day Frenchie. The French Bulldog breed originally came to the United States with groups of wealthy Americans who came across them and fell in love while touring Europe in the late 1800s.

While French Bulldogs originally had floppy, rosebud ears, today’s French Bulldog standards are for them to have what are called Bat ears (they stand straight up).The French Bulldog was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1898 and is a member of the non-sporting group.

The French Bulldog is an easygoing, affectionate, and playful dog that loves their family and gets along well with children. Frenchies are not known to bark much, unless you purposely or accidentally train them into it, but they are naturally alert.

They make excellent watchdogs. With their open and friendly nature, they also love to make new friends, which means they get along well with other dogs, animals, and people.Intelligent and affectionate, this small dog breed certainly wins over hearts and earns its status as a popular companion dog

The “Wiener Dog” is clever, lively, and courageous. They have a friendly, spunky, and curious nature and also tend to do very well with children. Dachshunds tend to be vigilant, wary of strangers, and have a “big-dog” bark, which makes them good watchdogs.
They are prone to barking, but early socialization and training can keep this to a minimum.
They also have a strong prey drive, which can be an issue for animals in the home smaller than they are unless properly socialized towards them. However, they are generally friendly towards other dogs.. They may be smooth-haired, wire-haired, or long-haired.
Life span: 12 – 16 years
Size:Dachshunds usually stand between 5 and 9 inches at the shoulder.
Miniature Dachshunds stand 5-6 inches tall while a Standard Dachshund will stand 8-9 inches tall.
Mini Dachshunds weigh under 11 pounds while a Standard Dachshund will weigh 16-32 pounds.
